Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
* Monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Set out using a variety of instruments as chosen by the company.
* Supervise and monitor subcontractors' work.
* Report progress of works to Package Manager and highlight any issues.
* Provide technical guidance and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
* Ensure quality management and BCAR co-ordination.
* Adhere to planning, health and safety and environmental standards.
* Provide weekly and monthly reporting of data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners.
* Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the Company.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil/Structural).
* Significant experience in a busy Site Engineer position with either a Developer and/or Main Contractor.
* Strong setting out experience using equipment such as Total Station and GPS.
* Full clean manual driver's license is essential.
* Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
* Strong attention to detail.
