Position Description
A vacancy exists for the position of Hydro Team Member, Donegal Stations, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal.
The Hydro Team Member will be required to work across all functional areas within the station including civil works, maintenance, and operations. The successful candidate will be required to work to the level of their competence to carry out their duties. They will be required to work autonomously, provide support to other teams and projects as required, be flexible and be a self-starter. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others is required.
The Hydro Team Member will work in a dynamic environment and to meet the business needs the successful candidate will be required on occasions to have flexible working hours including occasional weekends and be available for callouts. The successful candidate will give and receive training as defined by plant management to attain and maintain competencies.
Key Responsibilities
Duties of the role include but may not be limited to:
* Delivering and supporting staff and contractor work across all areas of the station
* Working safely, flexibly and to competence, as part of the overall team.
* General Site / Facilities Services and Maintenance works e.g., grounds maintenance, plant maintenance, concreting works, property repairs, equipment checks, waste management etc.
* Fixed and mobile plant operation, equipment checks
* Assisting Operations and Maintenance Hydro Team members
* Carry out patrols and visual inspections on Dam infrastructure, take readings and inputting into Dam Monitor software package.
* Use of ESB computer systems for maintenance and administration duties.
* Carry out authorized roles under the SSOW safety rules as required.
* The successful candidate will be required on occasions to have flexible working hours including weekend and night working and be available for callouts.
Experience and Qualifications
* Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Awareness
* Hold a full valid B driving licence
* Experience in industrial plants and/or construction or building maintenance works.
* Relevant CSCS tickets and qualifications such as Safe Pass
* Awareness of Safe System of Work or other Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) processes
* Experience using Maintenance Management Systems.
* An ability to use computer systems such as Word, Excel etc.
Location
The successful person will be based at Cathaleen’s Fall Power Station, Ballyshannon but may be asked to cover in Clady Power Station in Crolly, Co. Donegal.
Reporting To
Reporting to Civil Works Supervisor.

€32,450 to €38,800 per annum
