The Role My client, a well established, non-profit organisation is seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join their team based in Dublin 15.
The is a part-time, permanent, hybrid position.
As the Communications Officer you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all communication activities for the organisation, coordinating events, and assisting in the creation of various communication materials such as articles, videos, news updates, and social media content.
Tasks & Duties Lead the implementation of the Communications Strategy and Plan, and collaborate with PR consultants to support events and initiatives.
Work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to raise the profile with key funders and stakeholders in housing development and mental health.
Oversee the online presence, managing the website and social media platforms to enhance engagement.
Support and coordinate events that promote the organization's work, ensuring effective planning and execution.
Represent the organization at events and in the media, assisting with spokesperson identification and interview preparation as needed.
Develop and maintain key relationships with internal teams and stakeholders to support the organization's strategic objectives.
Provide administrative support to the Executive Team by preparing reports, presentations, and conducting research.
Promote the organization's mission, handle confidential matters with discretion, and undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the CEO.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications A minimum of five years' experience in communications, including leading and managing projects.
Strong background in the not-for-profit or charity sector, with a preference for experience in housing.
Proven track record in evaluating communications activities and measuring their impact.
Experience working in a dynamic and evolving organisation.
Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, guide, and work effectively in teams.
Expertise in traditional and digital marketing tactics, including campaign development and execution.
Highly organised with excellent IT skills, including website development and social media management to support organisational goals.
Ability to stay informed about sector changes, identify new opportunities, and apply creativity to generate engaging messages.
Strong awareness of housing policy, including the Housing for All Plan, and the social issues influencing housing.
