We are delighted to be recruiting a Procurement Executive on behalf of our client, a Public Sector Body, on a 12 month contract. Duties and Responsibilities will include Responsible for assisting with the coordination and administration of procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintain procurement records, manage documentation, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement processes. Assist in the procurement process by preparing and processing purchase orders, requests for quotations (RFQs), and contracts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including supplier information and contract terms. Organize and manage procurement documentation, ensuring all files are complete and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare reports and presentations regarding procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance. Act as a point of contact for suppliers, responding to inquiries and providing information as needed. Assist in coordinating supplier evaluations and performance assessments. Ensure that procurement activities adhere to internal policies, public sector regulations, and best practices. Assist in audits and reviews related to procurement processes and compliance. Work closely with various departments to gather procurement needs and assist in developing procurement strategies. Facilitate meetings and communications between stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement projects. Support the procurement team in assessing supplier capabilities and market offerings. The successful candidate will have A relevant 3rd level Previous experience in a procurement or role, preferably within the public sector. Knowledge of procurement regulations and practices in the public sector is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and procurement software. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with policies.
