Responsibilities of the EHS Manager
* Environmental Compliance: Align Environmental Management System policies with IEL and EMS requirements.
* Operational Oversight: Manage the operations of an Integrated Constructed Wetlands (ICW) system.
* Promoting Safety Culture: Lead by example, championing a zero-harm mindset across all teams.
* Audits & Reviews: Conduct site inspections, EHS audits, and manage visits from certification and regulatory bodies.
* Risk Management: Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Data-Driven Initiatives: Maintain detailed documentation and use analytics to drive continuous improvement.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
* Experience: 5+ years in EHS, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
* Qualifications: Relevant third-level qualification in EHS.
* Standards Knowledge: Proficiency in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
* Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Professional Memberships: Evidence of CPD (IOSH / IEMA / IIRSM).
* Essential: A valid driver's license.
