Your Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic OT team as an OT Engineer. In this role, you will act as the key liaison between local operations, sector OT, and IT teams at various levels. You will be responsible for managing or supervising physical equipment installations and commissioning, ensuring compliance with the latest smart manufacturing and digital operations requirements.
For brownfield equipment, you will develop migration plans and roadmaps to address cybersecurity and connectivity challenges. Additionally, you will collaborate with core OT functions, including OT Solution Architecture, OT Program & Portfolio Management, and OT Cybersecurity, while also working closely with IT Infrastructure, IT Applications, and Security teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement global OT technology strategy, standards, and architecture
* Translate OT solution designs into software/hardware code and configurations
* Manage OT system incidents and coordinate IT patching efforts
* Execute cybersecurity activities on OT systems, such as access management and patching
* Support or manage IT/OT asset management processes
* Ensure OT system service continuity by conducting disaster recovery exercises
This role plays a crucial part in driving standardization and digital transformation across all deployed OT solutions while advancing the organization's vision of a fully connected plant.
Who You Are
* 5+ years of experience in OT (manufacturing required; lab experience is a plus)
* 5+ years of experience in integrating OT systems with IT infrastructure
* Entry-level professionals with relevant skills may also be considered
* Hands-on experience in IT/OT technology and architecture management
* Strong background in IT/OT maintenance and service
Domain Knowledge
* Manufacturing – Understanding of industrial processes, machinery, and control systems
* OT Systems – Experience with IO, PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, Historians, MES/EBR
* Industrial Networks – Knowledge of fieldbus protocols, network architecture principles, ISA-99
* Automation Systems – Familiarity with Allen Bradley, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, FTTM, Active Directory
* IT/OT Convergence – Expertise in integrating OT systems with IT infrastructure
* Security – Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for industrial environments
* Compliance – Familiarity with industry regulations and OT-related compliance standards
* Experience working in GxP environments is a plus
