Unijobs are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator with the University of Limerick.
We are looking for someone to commence asap until August 2025 initially.
The working hours are 35 per week and paid at a rate of €17.85.
The purpose of this post is to provide high quality administrative support for the academic department and personal assistant administrative support to the Head of Department.
This post provides administration support to the Department's faculty members (+part time tutors) who deliver modules to a large student body.
The successful candidate will under the Head's direction act as an interface with other Faculty and University academic/administrative offices and external agencies.
The appointee will report to the Head of Department and will undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Provision of administrative support to the Head of Dept and faculty within the Department of Economics.
Act as Recording Secretary for Department meetings and committee meetings.
This includes circulating draft agendas and documentation, creating power point presentations as required, taking minutes of meetings and circulating draft minutes to Committee members.
Organisation and maintenance of departmental records, in line with the University's Records Management and Retention Policy.
Assist with the organisation of Department events, as required.
Coordinate the Autumn, Spring and Repeat Examination processes within the Department, in line with the Academic Calendar and meeting Academic Registry deadlines.
Support financial processes and maintain associated records, e.g.
Purchase to Pay, Salaries, Research Accounts.
Support the HOD in managing timesheet submissions, including processing of Hourly Staff Set-Up Forms, Temporary Casual Student Set-Up Forms.
Coordinate and submit grading payment data.
Scheduling/Timetabling data entry using ASCS.
Coordinate and schedule PhD Progression Review Panels.
Support the HoD with drafting and submitting online recruitment packs, and support the recruitment process within the department.
Submit departmental reports and updates to Faculty Board.
Update departmental web pages as needed.
Collate accreditation data on behalf of the department and liaise with the KBS Accreditation Team.
