Diabetes Care Kilkenny
Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones. This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.

Purpose of this
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will identify, plan and execute small to large-size projects across multiple different manufacturing sites globally.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Oversee electrical engineering operations projects as part of a global engineering team, ensuring timely project completion within budget and aligned with established objectives.
2. Engage in design evaluations and facilitate design considerations for the manufacturing of new devices.
3. Direct intricate projects focused on expanding supplier networks and modifying or enhancing production lines.
4. Cultivate and sustain partnerships with component suppliers to guarantee effective manufacturing processes and quality assurance measures are implemented.
5. Offer essential subject matter expertise to address complex challenges in manufacturing.
6. Organize and communicate updates to senior leadership regarding significant business initiatives.
7. Provide guidance to junior team members and delegate project tasks to the most capable contractors.
**Qualifications and Experience**
8. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.
9. At least 4 years of pertinent experience in the field.
10. Comprehension of the company's operational needs along with an in-depth understanding of customer requirements in relation to projects.
11. Proven experience in leading initiatives across diverse teams.
12. Proficient in both independent and collaborative work; adept at cross-functional teamwork.
13. Exhibits strong initiative, problem-solving capabilities, and critical thinking.
14. Excellent organizational skills and project management proficiency.
15. Quick to acquire new knowledge, skills, and understanding, with an eagerness to learn.
16. Experience with cGMP, FDA, and ISO regulatory standards.
