Preconstruction Technical Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Technical Manager to join our Data Centre division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP or CSA management, significant experience in project managing teams, and a deep understanding of delivering and commissioning highly serviced projects for key clients.
It is important the individual has good presentation skills, professionalism, credibility and inspire respect from their interactions across the market and business. They should have enthusiasm for market engagement, innovation and representing Sisk. They must be capable of bringing on board a wide range of stakeholders and leading teams with modesty, integrity, positivity and work ethic.
Flexible location, but travel to Dublin would be required approximately 3 days per week and willingness to travel to meet clients, supply chain and site visits essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and understand client expectations from bid documents, meetings, and feedback. Attention to detail and good listening skills are essential.
* Develop win plans and overall submission strategies, both technical and commercial, in collaboration with the estimating team and commercial managers.
* Build strong relationships with clients and consultants/sub-consultants to exceed their expectations.
* Lead and contribute to the development of submissions under all key headings.
* Identify opportunities for engineering and schedule rationalization to generate winning proposals.
* Liaise with design teams and specialist contractors to develop work-winning submissions.
* Manage the production of compelling submissions in line with internal business and client deadlines.
* Create succinct and powerful narratives to position the business for success. Drive the design of compelling visual content collaborating with the marketing team on the overall Sisk brand regarding the DC market.
* Maintain an effective network in the market to understand industry trends and prepare the business for future developments.
* Develop strong relationships with client teams to understand feedback and add value to client programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience in Data Centre/Mission critical projects (Life Sciences/Pharma, ICT, etc.) in operations and/or pre-construction is a definite advantage.
* Background in general contracting, MEP specialization, design, or commissioning in a project leader or senior role.
* Strong project management and time management skills.
* Good engineering/technical ability to develop and understand key challenges and opportunities.
* Commercial awareness and experience.
* Design skills and ability to create compelling bid contributions.
* Innovation and MMC skills across CSA and MEP.
* Experience in end-to-end bid management and design work to support bid teams.
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
