Senior Accountant Role in Ireland Finance Team
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our Ireland Finance team, covering Tax & Financial Reporting. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with senior management to manage tax compliance and accounting operations across our company network in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for internal US GAAP reporting and external Irish GAAP reporting
* Account Reconciliation: Analyze balance sheet accounts within prescribed timelines, ensuring audit-ready backup across accruals, benefits, and tax
* Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation
* Tax Compliance: Prepare and review corporation tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filing
* Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies and opportunities for tax savings
* Research: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company
* Process Improvement: Support Finance Leadership with process improvements, innovations, policy development, and strategic initiatives
* Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior finance staff, providing guidance and support
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/AITI qualification or equivalent, with 2-4 years post-qualified experience
* Pharmaceutical experience in a tax and/or accounting and finance role
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Excel and SAP
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Ability to work with large datasets
* Initiative-taking ability
