Supply Chain Analyst
The SC Analyst (Demand & Inventory) plays a critical role in merchandise management and optimizing inventory management processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data. This role is crucial for maintaining the balance between demand and supply, improving inventory turnover, and minimising costs.
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
* Analyse historical sales data and market trends to forecast future product demand
* Collaborate with account managers, operations, procurement and finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts
* Monitor and adjust forecasts based on real-time sales data and changing market conditions
Inventory Management:
* Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels
* Ensure the accuracy of inventory data through regular audits and reconciliation
* Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inbound and outbound inventory flows
Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
* Utilise advanced analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimisation
* Present findings and recommendations to supply chain management
Process Improvement:
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
* Participate in the development and implementation of system improvements in SCM
* Support the onboarding of new systems and processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations
Customer and Supplier Network Operations:
* Coordinate with supplier network operations to ensure timely and accurate inbound inventory
* Work with customer network operations to meet customer service levels and fulfilment requirements
* Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies or fulfilment delays
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain role
* Proficiency in inventory management software and advanced MS Excel skills
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Experience in the airline or logistics industry
* Knowledge of ERP systems and advanced inventory management tools
* Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP)
