The Trinity City Hotel are currently recruiting for a Front Office Supervisor.
As part of the MHL Hotel Collection, The Trinity City Hotel is a boutique four star hotel in the heart of Dublin City centre, just a few minutes stroll from Grafton Street.
Home to 262 guest bedrooms; 2 meeting rooms; the Courtyard Restaurant & Brunswick Bar.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Assist the Front Office Manager in ensuring that the customer receives a warm welcome and an excellent, personalised and efficient service at all times while dealing with any member of the Front Office Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that you receive a handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that youare aware of any events or special requirements for the day.
Receive and register guests on arrival in line with Company check-in procedures.
Answer telephone calls promptly (within 3 rings) in a friendly and professional manner.
Ensure that communications received by fax / post / email / deliveries are passed on to relevant people in a timely fashion.
Ensure that all reservations are correctly handled in line with rate management and any other selling guidelines and procedures.
Ensure that all documentation relating to the registration and checking out of guests is in accordance with Company procedures.
Liaise with Reservations Department so you are aware of hotel room availability at all times.
Liaise with Housekeeping Department on a regular basis to inform them of any changes or special customer requirements (cots, extra beds etc.).
Liaise with Housekeeping Department to ascertain the availability of cleaned and checked rooms which may be required for early check-in.
Ensure that a complete handover is done with the on-coming shift and that any checklists, reports and tasks have been completed.
Provide information to customers on hotel facilities, services and outlet opening times.
Be familiar with local tourist attractions, amenities and activities and be able to assist customers with their requirements.
Job Specification:
Hotel experience and knowledge of the Hospitality Industry A proven track record within the Rooms Departments at a management level Excellent IT skills Finance & Cost Control Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with good interpersonal skills Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong multitasking skills.
Strong work ethic, with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of Opera would be an advantage but is not essential as training can be given.
