Excel Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health and Safety Manager to lead and drive health, safety, and quality initiatives across all service lines. This is a critical role, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while fostering a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and promotion of a proactive safety and quality culture across the business. Implement and manage Health, Safety, and Quality policies, ensuring all staff are trained and competent in their responsibilities. Provide expert advice and guidance on Health, Safety, and Quality matters. Drive the implementation of risk management strategies and business continuity planning. Oversee the production and review of risk assessments and ensure compliance with safe working practices. Conduct regular audits, site inspections, and Health & Safety walkthroughs, reporting findings and driving continuous improvement. Ensure thorough reporting and investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses in compliance with legislative standards. Develop and manage training plans to enhance staff competency in health, safety, and quality. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, leadership, and external statutory authorities. Candidate Requirements Ideally a Chartered Member of IOSH (though not essential). Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety management experience in a similar role. Health & Safety Diploma or equivalent qualification. Experience in the food industry would be highly advantageous. Proven leadership experience in health, safety, and quality management. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness. Experience in risk management and business continuity planning. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
