Current Need:
The Operations department are looking for a Technical Services and Sustainability Manager to lead and oversee the Technical Services team at the Swords campus.
This pivotal role ensures the department complies with all regulatory requirements while achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tactical & Strategic Management:
o Oversee both the day-to-day tactical execution and the long-term strategic planning for Technical Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
* Policy and Compliance:
o Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards.
o Ensure compliance with Environmental licenses, cGMP guidelines, and maintain an in-depth focus on Environmental Compliance.
* Sustainability Leadership:
o Develop and implement strategies to reduce the site's environmental footprint.
o Provide Energy leadership to site and active participation in the Corporate Energy Team and deliver initiatives to meet Corporate ESG and sustainability targets.
* Environmental Programs Management:
o Water Management Programme: Lead and manage compliance with regulations around wastewater, surface water, potable water, and Legionella control.
o Air Emissions Programme: Oversee compliance with the IED Licence for air emissions.
o GHG Reduction Programme: Lead GHG reduction initiatives related to fuels, refrigerants, and other substances.
* Waste Management:
o Manage all aspects of bulk liquid & solid wastes.
o Develop continuous improvement plans for waste management.
* Safety and Infrastructure Management:
o Safety Management: Manage all aspects of works involving contractors and colleagues.
o Infrastructure Management: Responsible for the inspection, testing, and maintenance of underground and overground infrastructure.
* Operational Management:
o Manage solvent requirements, deliveries, and regulatory audits.
o Enhance plant and process performance using continuous improvement tools and technologies.
* Leadership and Team Development:
o Provide leadership and direction to the Technical Services team.
o Offer coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to team members.
* Financial Management:
o Prepare and monitor the annual operating budget for Technical Services.
o Capital project support is a key part of the role.
Minimum Requirements:
* The ideal candidate must have a primary degree in engineering or a science-related subject and 10+ years' experience in the Chemical/Pharmaceutical business.
* Proven experience in a leadership role within Technical Services or a related field.
* Strong understanding of SHE, GMP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as FDA, HPRA, EPA, and HSA.
* Experience in a unionized and non-unionized environment.
