Group Sales Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Group Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies that grow our corporate, MICE, and group business. This role will be pivotal in building long-term partnerships and increasing direct bookings while reducing reliance on third-party platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & MICE Sales Development
1. Identify and secure new corporate accounts and business partnerships.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, travel agencies, and key decision-makers.
3. Drive MICE sales by securing large-scale conferences, weddings, and business events.
Revenue & Performance Targets
1. Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets for accommodation, meeting spaces, and events.
2. Collaborate with the Revenue & Marketing teams to optimize pricing and promotions.
3. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management
1. Manage a portfolio of existing corporate accounts, ensuring repeat business and contract renewals.
2. Conduct sales visits, presentations, and property site tours to showcase our offerings.
3. Represent the Byrne Hotel Group at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
1. Work closely with the Marketing & Digital team to drive direct sales campaigns.
2. Align with the Operations & Events teams to ensure flawless event execution.
3. Provide regular sales reports and pipeline updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
We're Looking For
1. Proven experience in corporate sales, hospitality sales, or MICE sales (3+ years preferred).
2. A strong network in the hospitality, corporate, and events sectors in Ireland.
3. Target-driven with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
4. Exceptional negotiation & relationship-building skills.
5. Experience working with CRM systems, Opera PMS, and data-driven sales reporting.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales accounts & projects.
7. Excellent communication & presentation skills.
