Mellany McLoone is Chief Officer for CHO DNCC and has full responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all Community Healthcare services in the area. Community Healthcare Services are the broad range of services that are delivered outside of the acute hospital setting.
Description
The Principal Psychologist Specialist will work with a team of psychologists who are working across various multi-disciplinary teams in specialist, regional and community settings. In collaboration with the Principal Psychologist Manager, the Principal Psychologist Specialist will work effectively with other Heads of Discipline/Services and all senior management, ensuring a co-ordinated and comprehensive service delivery to, and effective communication with, all stakeholders; with the aim of providing integrated, recovery-oriented care to all service users and the client population.
The purpose of the post is:
1. To support and develop the clinical governance of psychological services across all of the service settings.
2. To provide clinical expertise, supervision and leadership in clinical practice and continuing professional development.
3. To contribute to and support integrated, recovery-oriented care to all service users and the client population.
4. To support the development of the psychology service and the wider service in line with operational planning as guided by area management teams and the Principal Psychology Manager.
