Infrastructure Delivery – Network Technician

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Job Responsibilities
1. Triage project ticket queue to review requests and changes
2. Plan and implement projects according to priorities for multiple data centers
3. Verify project requirements in terms of infrastructure capacity, materials, resources required and lead time
4. Prepare scope of work and request for quote for bid analysis
5. Manage vendor to implement cabling and hardware installation work
6. Comply with change management policies and guidelines for project activities
7. Build network devices and troubleshoot issues with engineers
8. Assure project quality on deliverables for handoff to operations
9. Update project progress, and escalate risks and blockers to stakeholders
10. Adhere to safety and security standards for all tasks
11. Review demand forecasts and coordinate with stakeholders for planning
12. Keep updated with latest process and design changes, and drive changes within the team
13. Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives
14. Manage and support training and development in procedures and technical knowledge
Minimum Qualifications
1. 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
2. Knowledge of IT best practice framework, project management methodologies and ticketing systems
3. Understanding of major Command Line Protocols and common Networking Protocols
4. Experience in installation, provisioning and migration of network hardware
5. Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
6. Experience in physical network cabling infrastructures
7. Experience in hyperscale data center operations
