This role is located in West Dublin and forms part of a dynamic multi-product site, supporting across Food Safety and Quality.
The individual will ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout production, storage, and transportation processes, including supplier and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and manage Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) per legislative and prescribed standards, such as FSSC 22000.
* Coordinate with regulatory authorities to ensure legal compliance, and manage audits and inspections.
* Oversee supplier approval protocols and define/maintain finished product quality standards.
* Ensure management alignment with food safety and quality objectives.
* Conduct FSMS compliance audits, resolve issues with the team, and ensure continuous improvement.
* Advise on food safety training needs and review materials to ensure compliance with standards.
* Address FSQ operational issues, consumer complaints, and customer requests efficiently.
* Manage site hygiene and pest control programs.
* Report on FSQ performance against established targets.
* Manage and develop the FSQ Team.
Project Work
* Drive FSQ initiatives and improvements within the business.
* Represent the FSQ Department across the organisation to promote a strong food safety culture.
Requirements
* A qualification in Science/Food Science (essential).
* Proven technical quality experience.
* Expertise in HACCP and FSMS, with a solid understanding of GFSI standards (e.g., BRC, FSSC 22000).
* Strong people management skills.
* Flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A full driver's license and access to a car.
This role offers an estimated salary of €50,000 - €60,000 per annum.
