The Main Role:
Ensuring quality control of incoming raw materials and packaging aligns with group guidelines, preventing quality issues that could arise during production.
Supervising and executing physical and chemical analysis for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products guarantees technological quality and marketability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage laboratory analysis, including chemical, physical, and packaging testing, in accordance with central lab methods.
* Maintain effective laboratory management within the plant, adhering to central guidelines (reagent storage, instrument calibration, safety regulations, etc.).
* Perform internal and external sampling based on SAP plans, complying with packaging and raw material statements, food safety standards, and international guidelines.
* Collect and prepare samples according to central team standards, identify samples, and ensure delivery to internal and external laboratories.
* Collaborate with Production, FQD, and Plant Quality Assurance to finalize laboratory analysis execution.
* Execute laboratory analysis considering materials and products to be analyzed.
* Conduct qualitative analysis using adequate instruments.
* Enter data into SAP and elaborate results within control calendars.
* Analyze data, ensuring proper result finding and IT data entry.
* Systamatically analyze inbound raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products, providing warnings for anomalies.
* Release non-conformity reports for monitored parameters outside standard values.
* Create quality notifications in SAP for out-of-specification results and work with suppliers for corrective actions.
* Support local teams with claims, elaborating and managing claims on SAP according to given guidelines.
* Ensure laboratory instruments are available and functioning properly.
* Record good movements on SAP (stock for quality controls, locked stocks, stock on behalf of third parties).
* Perform controls on packaging material stocks.
* Collect offers/donations for new laboratory instruments and materials.
* Negotiate purchasing related to laboratory instruments and materials with the Technical Purchasing department.
* Execute purchase requisitions for consumables, chemicals, and/or material analysis.
* Inspect internal and external warehouses and logistics services.
* Develop subordinates' potential in line with company principles, ensuring effectiveness in structure organization and working shifts.
Required Knowledge:
* BSc degree in food science, food chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the food industry.
* Familiarity with analytical and sensory testing methods.
* Knowledge of SAP QM.
* Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
* Awareness of quality standards and specifications given by the central quality team regarding sampling techniques, laboratory analysis techniques, chemistry, and microbiology.
* Familiarity with calibration.
* Good knowledge of ISO, FSSC requirements, and production technique and quality standards for the food industry.
* Analytical, independent, detailed, and skilled in information gathering and analysis reporting.
* Knowledge of legal and corporate requirements for ingredients/products/packaging materials testing.
* Advanced PC user skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook).
* Experience in internal auditing of Quality and Food Safety Management systems.
* Good knowledge of English language.
