We are a multi-national company with locations in 18 countries, with each location contributing to Proofpoint’s amazing culture.This individual will be an integral part of the international accounting team leading a small team of qualified and part qualified accountants with a focus in international countries. This is a great opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to expand.Main responsibilities -Lead and manage the Cork Finance team through internal and external reporting and complianceOversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close proceduresGeneral Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to review and preparation of monthly management reporting packagesReview of monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses and account reconciliations for management reportingPrepare and review journal entries based on supporting reconciliations and schedulesSupport in annual subs auditsLead and assist with implementation and adherence of SOX and other internal control complianceAssist on all mergers/acquisitions of international entities as requiredLead and assist in process improvement projects, including coordination with cross-functional teamsLead and assist with the implementation of new accounting policiesSupport in the procure to pay processLiaising with key stakeholdersAct as a mentor, coach, and advisor to team members, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional developmentJob RequirementsQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post qualification experience working in a similar roleExperience in general accounting in industry and/or a public accounting firm as well as in international subs; experience in international payroll a plusExperience in a management roleDemonstrates a strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards, experience of US GAAP is desireableStrong proficiency in ExcelAbility to organize and communication effectively across various mediums with varying audiencesDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skillsSystem ERP experience, Microsoft Dynamics D365 desireableProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.
