Zurich Dublin Technology Center is looking for a Directory Services Engineer within the wider Digital Identity team. Your Role As a Directory Services Engineer you will work within the global Directory Services team providing technical expertise in both the on-premises Active Directory, Cloud Services (Entra ID & AWS MSAD) as well as supporting software suites in this hybrid environment. The role is hands-on within an operational team providing break fix and project support. You will need to be able to explore\comprehend this complex directory and will have experience in multi-region Directory Services environments. Your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Support Global Directory team in day-to-day operations comprising mainly of customer support tickets, maintenance of governance standards and ensuring KPIs are met Work to optimize and simplify the environment through continuous improvement initiatives in both on premise and cloud Manage technical projects as set by Directory Services management Undertake investigations to support root cause of technical or functional (process) delivery related to Active Directory and Cloud Services Collect and monitor statistics and metrics for reporting and trend analysis Ability to adhere to and sustain security principles and practices Provide support for security response processes including vulnerability management, incident response and forensics leading to effective risk reduction Recognize legal, regulatory and ethical requirements within own area of responsibility and applies adoption of requirements, ensuring minimum baseline compliance. Provide technical expertise and counsel on aspects of the organization's IT security, advising of appropriate actions to fulfill procedural and regulatory requirements or solve immediate problems Your Skills and Experience As a Directory Services Engineer your skills and qualifications will include: Will have previously worked supporting directory services in middle to large size organizations Hands-on Active Directory administration & infrastructure support experience A security mindset in all service delivery and support with a strong operational ethics and background in Active Directory AD Migration knowledge & experience Entra Connect knowledge & experience Strong knowledge of information security concepts and security trends and practices Able to participate and contribute to technical design discussions. Good understanding of Enterprise directory architecture and design Office 365 product understanding Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in information technology project management OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in information technology project management AND Experience working across business units and/or geographic boundaries Preferred Qualifications: Strong practical experience in the following areas: Active Directory, Identity Management, Role Based Access Control, Federated Identity, Cloud Identity Providers, Privileged Access Management Certifications will be an advantage - for example AZ-800, AZ-801, SC-300 (obtained & pursuing) Excellent written communications skills which demonstrate the ability to draft clear, concise specifications, documentation and reports including technical documentation Additional Information Primary work location is Trident House, Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
