Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Officer Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Officer to be based in any of following areas: Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon or Midlands.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of the programme to a selected number of schools per county/region Liaise and communicate with selected schools to ensure they are fully informed, consulted and supported through the programme.
Liaise and consult with our Local Authority partners to deliver the project on the groundOversee and manage quantitative and qualitative surveys for assigned schools.
Undertake front of school audits and walking/cycling/wheeling route audits.
Develop delivery plans to support the provision of infrastructure outside and along routes to school.
Undertake 'stakeholder engagement' workshops with schools and Local Authorities to support the programme.
Ongoing communication with stakeholders to garner support for the programme and infrastructural provision.
Monitor and evaluate the provision of infrastructure in liaison with Local Authorities.
Liaise with other partners on a regional basis to update them on progress.
Liaise and co-operate with Green-Schools Travel Officers on a regional basis.
Prepare monthly progress reports to update senior management of developments.
Undertake any other such relevant duties as may from time to time arise and are considered appropriate
