Job description:
Job Responsibilities:
The Analyst role is a trusted business partner who is regarded as a data and insights expert, able to draw actionable insights and conclusions to help drive Circanas clients business performance.
The Analyst understands how to use and interpret the various Circana data sources and leverage existing modelling solutions to address clients business challenges and market opportunities (i.e.
trade marketing, pricing and promotions, mix modeling).
The Analyst develops and maintains a deep understanding of Circana data, understands clients businesses, and demonstrates a knowledge of new and emerging analytic solutions (both Circana and industry).
The Analyst plays a key role in project delivery, actively participating in the modelling of data, analysis of outcomes, and development of insights leveraging Circana solutions.
This individual maintains a working knowledge of current trends in marketing and market research, in the CPG and General Merchandise Industries including forecasting, pricing, sizing, and other analytic techniques that will be the foundation to drive actionable insights.
The Analyst applies consultative capabilities to client engagement in order to convert insights into business implications and strategy.
Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelors Degree required in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or business related quantitative field.
An advanced degree in a quantitative or analytic discipline is preferred.
Up to 4 years of experience in solving business issues with analytics, leveraging data in a research or consultative setting, or applicable Masters degree preferred.
To be effective as Analyst the candidate must have proven skills in the below key areas: Required profile:
Advanced Analytics:
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights.
A technical foundation that includes a conceptual understanding of statistical modelling techniques (experience with programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, SQL a plus).
Enthusiasm for data mining, working with large datasets.
Planning and Organizing:
A high level of initiative and responsibility, dedication to quality, a strong work ethic, creativity, and a positive attitude.
Determines effort and resources required to meet objectives: plans, coordinates, and manages resources effectively.
Has the foresight to identify possible issues and take action to mitigate them.
Takes ownership of projects and holds oneself accountable to meet agreed upon timeline and quality standards.
Cross-Functional Influence:
Demonstrates effective team behaviors including informing others of relevant information, supporting team decisions, encouraging others to share ideas, effectively resolving conflicts, and establishing common client focused goals.

Ability to engage in a consultative manner with internal teams.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Other:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.).
Familiarity with Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or General Merchandise industries.
