Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assembly Technician at Abbott Ireland Vascular Division Clonmel. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to work in our manufacturing environment. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, inspecting, and testing products following written instructions. You will also set up and operate various manufacturing machines or equipment, clean tools and equipment, and record information on approved documents.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies;
* Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines;
* Assemble, repair, inspect, and/or test products following written instructions;
* Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures;
* Dispose hazardous waste material on corresponding hazardous waste areas;
* Resolves problems and make routine recommendations;
* Maintain all position certifications up to date as required to remain in compliance;
* Complete daily work to meet established schedule with guidance from supervisor on prioritization of tasks.
Requirements
* Leaving Certificate or a pass rating in an Aptitude Test selected by Abbott Vascular;
* Relevant work experience advantageous but not essential or an equivalent combination of education and work experience;
* Excellent communication / interpersonal skills;
* Enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to integrate quickly into a team environment;
* Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
