Job Description
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will provide technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment utilizing technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment.
* Utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output on the shift, and ensure all cells are running to cycle time to meet specific OEE targets.
* Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency of machines and production equipment is maintained to desired standards.
* Monitor processes, run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, create comprehensive reports for resolution methods, and familiarize yourself with asset maintenance software (Maximo preferable).
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct scheduled maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults, undertake repairs, and select, engage, and work with outside contractors.
* Perform complex skilled maintenance and repair tasks, including mechanical, pneumatics, electrical systems.
* Interpret blueprints and schematics.
* Understand day-to-day operations for conveyors, depositors, p&p machines, and weighing machines.
* Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output.
* Lead on maintenance and/or process issues and work independently or as a team member.
* Monitor production processes, run diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and create comprehensive reports for resolution methods.
* Certify and train manufacturing associates in production processes.
* Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Develop or revise documents and procedures.
* Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
* Install and validate equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following established validation procedure.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum level 6 in a technical related discipline.
* Desired electrical and mechanical skills.
* Excellent knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry, crucial for safety and security of all production staff.
* Experience within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
* Technical and fault-finding skills.
* Surface mount technology experience an advantage.
