Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician role is a critical position within our Renewable Energy Business Unit. Based in Edenderry, this permanent position will report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
About the Team:
Our team operates with a small core structure, comprising several Maintenance Technicians working under the guidance of a Maintenance Engineer. This collaborative environment fosters a culture of teamwork and expertise sharing.
Main Responsibilities:
* Contribute to achieving maximum plant availability, efficiency, and safe systems of work through effective mechanical maintenance.
* Efficiently utilize spare parts in line with operational needs and manage maintenance planning using a dedicated management system.
* Maintain safety, economic viability, and adherence to environmental limits while executing maintenance plans and targets.
* Cover Maintenance Engineer duties, including planning and coordination, to broaden experience and skillset.
* Perform fault diagnosis as required and conduct regular plant inspections to identify potential issues.
* Proactively address problems and implement creative solutions to improve operations.
* Participate in the implementation of the Plant Business Management System and contribute to the development of quality documentation.
* Work collaboratively with other teams to provide flexible maintenance resources, prioritizing high plant availability.
* Effectively manage activities on site, ensuring seamless collaboration with external parties when necessary.
* Carry out all work in a safe manner, adhering to established guidelines and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
* Actively engage in the Performance Management process to ensure personal and team objectives are met.
Requirements:
* A relevant technical qualification (HND, HC, or equivalent experience).
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
* A Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency in IT skills and knowledge of maintenance management systems, including planning and reporting.
