About the Role: As the Quality Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing Food Safety and Quality Systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and authenticity while complying with all customer and legal requirements. Your expertise will help drive innovation, continuous improvement, and a culture of excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage Food Safety and Quality Systems, including HACCP, GMP, plant hygiene, pest control, and internal audits.
2. Ensure consistent delivery of products that meet agreed specifications.
3. Foster and promote a strong Quality Culture throughout the organization.
4. Collaborate with site management and team leaders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Lead staff training programs to enhance food safety and quality knowledge across the site.
6. Play a central role in third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
7. Manage the site hygiene team and contract cleaning operations.
8. Plan and implement corrective and preventative actions where necessary.
9. Maintain compliance with company policies and operational standards.
10. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
11. Ensure all work aligns with Health & Safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. A third-level qualification in Food Science or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years experience in a food manufacturing environment that includes food safety and quality assurance.
3. Hands-on experience in auditing (internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party).
4. Proven people management and leadership skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
6. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
7. Proficient with computer systems and tools.
