Sanderson are partnering with a market leading company in the healthcare sector to recruit for the permanent position of Financial Controller, based in Offaly. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the plant finance function to optimize accounting, forecasting, and statutory reporting to acceptable quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Key member of the site leadership team, supporting the Plant Operations Director in the day-to-day management and operation of the facility.
2. Provide both routine and proactive financial data to support the business.
3. Offer analytical, interpretive, investigative, and advisory services on business and commercial impact, including supporting the Operations Director as required.
4. Ensure the integrity of the accounts and that the accounting function operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and board policy.
5. Liaise with auditors to complete year-end statutory accounts in a timely fashion and ensure no major write-ups are received.
6. Work with third-party advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion and filing of tax returns.
7. Establish annual budgets, monthly accounts, and weekly forecasts in line with business requirements.
8. Assist in the preparation and review of project requests for all capital expenditure.
9. Communicate, motivate, and develop subordinates through regular performance reviews, including annual reviews, involvement in target setting, and routine exchanges.
10. Develop an understanding of product standard costs, working closely with the group costing team to ensure accuracy and understand the impact on the business.
Qualifications & Experience required:
1. Professional Accountancy Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA
2. Strong finance and team leadership demonstrable experience will be required in order to build your team
3. Project management skills required
4. Analytical and computer skills
5. Team building skills
6. SAP an advantage
