Accounts Assistant with Payroll Experience
Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing client's team as an Accounts Assistant with a focus on payroll. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing payroll for approximately 100 employees weekly, handling reconciliations, and supporting the company's financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 staff, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations (including PAYE and PRSI returns).
* Financial Reconciliation: Perform bank and income reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
* Overseeing Financials: Monitor the financial aspects of the company, providing insights and reports as required.
* Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets, ensuring financial planning aligns with company goals.
* Invoicing & Debt Collection: Manage invoicing processes and oversee debt collection to ensure timely payments from clients.
* Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with payroll-related taxes and statutory obligations, including PAYE, PRSI, and other government returns.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience: In a similar accounts or payroll role.
* Strong knowledge: Of payroll processes, taxation (PAYE/PRSI), and relevant legislation.
* Proficient in: Financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
* Excellent attention to detail: And organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills: And the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks: And meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with: Payroll software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, etc.).
* Knowledge of: Financial reporting and budget preparation.
* Experience in: Debt management and collections.
