Job Title: Data Centre Procurement Specialist
A dynamic and growing business unit within Amazon.com, Amazon Web Services (AWS), provides a broad set of infrastructure services including computing power, storage options, networking and databases available on demand. The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon.com with the compute, network and data centre capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business.
We are seeking a motivated and data-driven Data Centre Procurement Specialist to support the EMEA data centre construction space. The candidate should have construction supply chain and procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a complex category within the Capex Construction/Project domain.
* Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations.
* Analyse category data and metrics to drive Procurement category strategies.
* Understand trends in customers' needs and concerns, across categories and regions, to influence customers' priorities.
* Lead supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for management.
* Evaluate suppliers based on their ability to deliver high-quality products and services.
* Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost.
* Create supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance.
* Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships.
* Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Life-cycle.
* Support throughout the contracting process, as well as management of contracts post-execution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years experience in Procurement performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding.
* Experience providing administrative support to Category Managers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in data centers or construction companies.
* Ability to communicate and report on market intelligence data, including commodity trends and labor indexes.
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
