The IT Learning Specialist will manage our client learning platform and oversee all staff training within the Firm. This includes developing eLearning content and designing and delivering comprehensive systems training across our practice areas.
Additionally, the role includes leading our Induction Programme for new joiners, ensuring they gain essential IT skills and a thorough understanding of our internal IT systems from day one, enabling them to integrate seamlessly into the Firm.
Beyond structured workshops, the IT Learning Specialist must also provide one-to-one coaching and offer tailored support to staff. A key aspect of the role is acting as a trusted IT advisor to our lawyers, empowering them with the knowledge and expertise needed to meet client demands effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create eLearning content for our client learning platform using Firm templates in Articulate Rise and Storyline.
2. Manage the client learning platform hosted on Moodle.
3. Track participation, engagement, and training effectiveness using reports, dashboards, and feedback forms.
4. Manage multiple training projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
5. Assess and utilize eLearning modules and how they can be integrated into our IT training programmes.
6. Design and deliver structured technical in-house training programmes, including Induction training and workshops tailored to the needs of our employees. This training will be a blend of in-person classes, online sessions, and eLearning content.
7. Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and e-learning modules.
8. Provide ongoing support to colleagues, helping them troubleshoot IT issues and enhancing their understanding of software applications.
9. Stay abreast and updated on latest IT and systems technologies that can benefit the Firm and improve our client service delivery.
10. Leverage digital tools and technology, including learning management systems (LMS), AI-driven learning, and interactive content, to enhance training delivery.
11. Collaborate on innovation and technology projects, supporting adopting new tools and processes within the firm.
Requirements
1. Experience in delivering IT training in a corporate environment, both in-person and virtual.
2. Knowledge of iManage document management system and other legal technology solutions.
3. Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
4. Experience with content creation in eLearning software e.g., familiarity with Articulate Rise and Storyline (or similar software) and instructional design principles.
5. Knowledge of Moodle management.
6. Experience in analysing the IT training needs of staff and developing learning solutions, with a particular focus on technology-based learning systems.
7. Ability to adapt training methods to suit different learning styles.
8. Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of training provided.
9. Keep up to date on all IT systems used within the Firm.
10. Strong interest in technology and innovation, with the ability to contribute to tech-driven initiatives.
11. Highly organised with strong planning skills and excellent attention to detail.
12. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
