We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team at Hayward Hawk. This role requires a strong troubleshooting background, a dynamic work environment, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
* Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network problems, escalating more complex issues when necessary.
* Assist with system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
* Support users with account management, access permissions, and application troubleshooting.
* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions within the ticketing system.
* Provide guidance and training to users on best IT practices.
* Work with internal teams and third-party vendors to address recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
* Monitor system performance and assist in implementing optimizations to improve efficiency.
* Ensure all devices comply with company security policies and updates are applied as needed.
* Participate in scheduled support rotations, offering remote and onsite assistance when required.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and mac OS operating systems.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote desktop tools.
* Experience with troubleshooting software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Experience working with IT ticketing systems and maintaining accurate documentation.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of scripting and automation.
* Experience managing cloud-based applications and security settings.
* Familiarity with identity and access management tools.
* Understanding of compliance policies and data protection best practices.
