Role Profile
We have an exciting opportunity in the Cyber and Information Security Team the IT Department which is part of the Corporate Services Directorate.
The IT Department provides support across all aspects of SEAI operations, with teams focused on a number of areas: IT Project and Business System Programmes (PMO), Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, IT Operations including IT helpdesk, IT Governance, IT Change Management, and Cyber and Information Security.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Cyber Security programme and related projects to drive and mature the Cyber and Information security posture of the organisation.
This position will play a key role in the IT Department. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI's Cyber and Information Security programme.
Essential Requirements
* A degree (minimum Level 7 on the NFQ or higher) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science (IT) or a relevant computing discipline/field.
* A minimum of 5 years' direct relevant experience working in an ICT function.
* Proficiency with security technologies and tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus software).
* Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO27001, NIS2, GDPR, IPAA, PCI DSS) and implementation of security policies.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience of producing quality Management System documentation and reports.
* Strong project management, with experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholder, and complex interdependencies.
* Good communications skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Requirements
* Certification in Cyber Security:
* SSCP - Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
* CompTIA Security +
* GSEC - GIAC Security Essentials Certification.
* Certified Information Security Manager.
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
* ISO 27001 lead auditor or related certificate.
* Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:
* OT Cyber Security standards and frameworks (IEC ISA 99/62443, NIST SP 800-82, etc.).
* Network security design and technologies.
* ICT Background with experience of cloud hosted and on-premises servers, networks, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS) devices.
* Familiarity with incident response frameworks and tools.
* Experience in procurement processes including tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation.
Eligibity to Work
The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and where applicable to support a candidate's application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.
