An experienced Credit Manager is sought to oversee credit control, manage customer accounts, and maintain strong relationships in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Manage the credit approval process, reviewing customer credit applications, setting credit limits, and ensuring adherence to company credit policies.
* Monitor accounts receivable and manage collections to minimize overdue debts.
* Identify and mitigate credit risks, escalating where necessary to senior management.
* Reconcile customer accounts and ensure prompt resolution of discrepancies.
* Maintain an up-to-date and accurate accounts receivable ledger, tracking aged debtors.
* Handle large volumes of changing data and ensure accurate, timely reporting on customer accounts.
* Liaise with customers to resolve queries and negotiate payment terms.
* Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and credit risk management.
**Ideal Candidate:**
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or accounts within an FMCG or similar fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to handle large datasets and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
* Strong financial acumen with excellent understanding of credit control and risk management.
* Highly proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
* Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy, dynamic environment.
**Terms:**
* Salary €50 – €55k pa DOE, plus pension.
* Office-based with flexible start and finish times (7am – 3pm / 8am – 4 / 9am -5pm / 10am – 6pm)
