My client is an Irish-owned speciality Pharmaceutical Company located in Dublin North. ROLE:
The buyer will play a key role in managing procurement activities to support commercial and R&D projects. You will collaborate with team members to assess needs and build strong vendor relationships in the organization's best interest. Previous experience in sourcing raw materials in pharma is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage the procurement process for direct APIs, excipients, and raw materials to support commercial and research and development requirements.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Regulatory, Quality, and R&D, to align sourcing initiatives with business needs.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability at the best value.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
* Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
* Ensure the highest standard of ethics is always employed in all business dealings with both Suppliers and Customers in accordance with the commercial procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Pharma experience, GMP or scientific background preferable.
* Influencing people, negotiation, and building strong relationships across geographical boundaries.
* Effective communication across organizational levels.
* Organized, adaptable, and able to work independently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
