Purpose The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for a range of operations, including Production, Health & Safety, Hygiene and Sustainability.
The role has end-to-end responsibility for production activities, quality assurance, and operational KPIs, as well as championing continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Leadership and Management Oversee and lead Production, Sustainability, Health & Safety, and Hygiene, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Technical and New Product Development, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Health & Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, supporting the Health & Safety Manager in administering risk assessments, audits and training.
Proactively manage safety standards across operations.
Quality and Hygiene Work with the Hygiene and Quality Assurance teams to enforce rigorous quality standards throughout the production process.
Lead initiatives to enhance standards, oversee audits and inspections.
Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement Develop and execute a three-year continuous improvement strategy focusing on productivity, OEE/TEEP, waste reduction and material conversion efficiency, supported by ERP / digitised systems.
Collaborate with NPD teams, introducing new products and scaling processes to full-scale production.
Sustainability Initiatives Actively participate in sustainability efforts, collaborating with relevant managers to advance the company's sustainability goals and initiatives.
Drive continuous improvements that align with environmental objectives, such as reducing waste and promoting sustainable resource use within the production process.
Team Development Lead the development and implementation of performance development programs for direct reports.
Build a collaborative work environment.
Role Requirements Minimum of 8 years experience in a management role within manufacturing, with a proven track record in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Demonstrated understanding of sustainability practices, with experience implementing initiatives focused on waste reduction and energy efficiency.
Familiarity with environmental compliance standards and best practices in sustainable production.
Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership and change management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis and use of production metrics to drive performance improvement.
Experience in Capital Management Programs.
Relevant third-level qualification.
The nature of the role and the company's strong team-based culture requires being on site 5 days per week at the Longford site.
