Care Worker - Seaview Respite Service
MOUNTCHARLES, CO DONEGAL
Salary:
$30,000 per annum (based on a 25-hour part-time contract)
About the Role:
The Community Support Worker will assist the Community Services Manager and Team Leader in delivering a quality, individual-focused service. They will work individually and as part of a team, providing high-quality care and rehabilitative support to adults with Acquired Brain Injury and/or other neurological conditions in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To support service users in carrying out rehabilitation programmes for physical, cognitive, and emotional impairment to maximize quality of life.
2. Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and other personnel, as directed by the management team, to ensure the best quality of service.
3. Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice and risk assessments at all times.
Requirements:
* Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Two years' experience in providing community and service-based programmes and activities to promote independence and meet the needs, choices, and abilities of individuals.
* Willingness to participate in Rehab Care mandatory and further development training programme.
