Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Resident Engineer with specific Water project expertise for a Client-based role in County Meath. The ideal candidate will review, advise and supervise MEICA Project installations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works.
2. Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann, focusing on health & safety, timely delivery, cost management and ensuring quality standards.
3. Ensure works are carried out according to contract documents and applicable specifications.
4. Monitor and report on works to Employer's Requirements.
5. Keep the employer's representative, project manager and Uisce Éireann informed of issues arising on site.
6. Implement Uisce Éireann's safety policies and standards on construction projects.
7. Review and comment on project/site-specific HSQE documentation.
8. Monitor compliance with contract health and safety requirements and contractor's proposals.
9. Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews.
10. Report and investigate accidents on site, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
11. Participate in Uisce Éireann's HSQE team monthly inspections.
Desired Qualifications:
* At least 7 years' postgraduate experience in site supervision, contract administration and project management of MEICA works on water engineering projects.
* A Degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, Mechanical & Electrical Works, design build operate projects and project management.
* Ability to write clear and concise reports and keep works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract is advantageous.
* A current and valid SafePass card and Confined Spaces training.
