Job Title: Intellectual Property (IP) Operations Assistant Location: Dublin City Center (Fully Onsite) Contract type: 5-6 month Contract Rate: €20-25 per hour Summary: Our Tech client in Dublin seeks a talented Intellectual Property (IP) Operations Assistant bringing a rich background in Project Management, Business Analytics, and or legal operations support roles.
The role will require the candidate to collaborate in multi-jurisdictional projects across North America, EMEA and APAC.
The IP Operations team main mission is to provide operational frameworks, and to ensure that the IP processes are executed within the given framework, as well as identify best practices to model future improved processes to enable growth, effective use of technology, increase efficiency, and improve service delivery.
Responsibilities: Maintaining an organized database of IP-related records; Assisting with process improvement initiatives and projects coordination; Assisting in designing, documenting and maintaining IP processes; Assisting in identifying and addressing potential risks and bottlenecks in the IP processes to sustain consistency and accuracy; Assisting in establishing standards and procedures to ensure the team operates in a consistent manner; Assisting in compiling and manipulating data to identify trends, patterns and insights; Assisting in generating IP matters dashboards and reports to communicate insights to support data-driven strategic decisions; Assisting in-house IP attorneys with patents and trademark matters; Managing the patent and trademark prosecution workflow between the engineering organization, in-house IP attorneys, and outside counsel; Opportunities to expand responsibilities to other areas of the IP function and develop related skill sets.
Requirements: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills such as business analyst and/or project management, legal operations support roles; Attention to detail and self-starting desire to take ownership of core duties and responsibilities; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Willingness and curiosity to learn about Intellectual Property; Excellent organization skills, a professional work ethic and a team attitude; Knowledge of business process and operations management; Database and information management skills such as librarian roles; Knowledge of SharePoint features; Be comfortable working in an international environment supporting daily IP efforts and working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams; Effective communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English.
Additional language skills such as German, French or Mandarin are not required but are a plus; Experience working with Salesforce-based administrative tools is a plus; Experience working with business process modelling tools such as Microsoft Visio and Bizagi is a plus; Familiarity with data analytics and automation tools is a plus, experience working with same is a big plus; Experience at either a law firm or corporate IP department as an intellectual property administrative assistant (or with similar responsibilities) is a plus.
