Career Opportunities: Country Manager
We are seeking an experienced manager to take our Dublin office to the next level. Your primary objective will be to lead and inspire a small team to achieve financial objectives.
Job Description:
The role involves managing a small freight forwarding office with huge potential for expansion and development. You will have the proactive task of increasing revenue generation through current customers and business development in the wider market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage branch operations, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
* Ensure effective use of systems, including CargoWise, Adaptive, Workday, and PowerBI.
* Monitor KPIs, such as Task Adoption, Margin Management, Billing Velocity.
* Maintain compliance with country regulations, staying up-to-date on freight forwarding and customs laws.
* Focus operations and commercial teams on branch metrics and KPI deliverables.
* Engage with Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Deal with escalations as necessary.
Sales, Marketing, and Business Development:
* Expand our presence and ensure OIA Global is a key forwarder in the market.
* Aware of potential customers and look for opportunities to develop the business.
* Maintain and develop existing business relationships.
* Work with the Sales team to develop new business through communication with potential clients.
* Ensure effective negotiation on price to maximize profitability.
* Maintain awareness of forwarding and logistics markets.
* Leverage OIA's networking platforms to create new opportunities.
* Have overview of quote conversions and competitiveness for quotations.
Customer Service:
* Evaluate customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
* Prepare and submit written Management Reports for the Executive group.
* Contribute positively to global and regional initiatives and activities.
* Maintain a high standard of credibility and representation for the Country.
* Work with the Regional Manager to develop and implement the Annual Business Plan and Growth strategies.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a management capacity within freight forwarding.
* Demonstrable ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
* Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively while ensuring operational excellence and outstanding service delivery.
* Be resolution-focused to streamline and improve processes and methodology.
* Excellent leadership qualities and a strong work ethic.
* Fluency in both written and spoken English, as well as the local language.
* Eligibility to work in the country of employment.
