Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Director to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects within the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry in Denmark. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction projects from start to finish.
Day-to-day
As the Construction Project Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the entire construction project. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Additionally, you will be in charge of maintaining strong client relationships and addressing any project-related issues.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and oversee all aspects of large-scale construction projects within the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector in Denmark.
2. Develop and execute strategic plans to ensure successful project completion within the defined timelines and budget constraints.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors, to facilitate seamless project execution.
4. Monitor and analyze project performance metrics, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
5. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Foster strong client relationships and communicate project progress, milestones, and deliverables effectively.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovations to optimize construction processes and productivity.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Project Director or similar role within the construction industry, particularly in large-scale projects.
2. In-depth knowledge of the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector, with an understanding of their specific construction requirements.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and client expectations.
4. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, construction practices, and industry standards.
5. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
6. Relevant certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) and construction industry accreditations are advantageous.
