A globally recognized pharmaceutical client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Utilities Engineer to join their team in Sligo, Ireland on a 12 month contract.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and execute projects, including equipment and process improvements.
2. Oversee day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance for manufacturing and utility equipment.
3. Collaborate with the Site Engineering Services Manager to set performance goals, schedules, and timetables.
4. Support manufacturing, utility, and facility project plans and coordinate equipment maintenance schedules.
5. Prepare capital expenditure requests and develop monthly engineering metrics for operations and facilities.
6. Ensure successful audits and maintain engineering compliance systems.
7. Issue management reports, stay within budget, and cross-train for preventive maintenance.
8. Manage internal and external plant projects, ensuring quality, safety, and policy compliance.
9. Supervise external contractors, develop performance metrics, and negotiate cost, quality, and performance.
10. Prepare and implement CAPA plans, manage multiple workstreams, and prioritize tasks as needed.
11. Adhere to EHS policies, report incidents, and drive a culture of safety.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline
Desired Requirements:
1. Experience in Chilled Water, boilers, Potable Water distribution, Compressed Air Generation, LPHW, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Electricity, Building Safety Systems and Building regulations is desirable.
Technical/Business Knowledge required:
1. 5+ Years experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a cGMP environment.
2. Potential to re-design elements of manufacturing / utility / facility machinery to adapt to process conditions in order to improve efficiency with a demonstrated track record in managing budgets.
3. Experience in a Electricity, LPHW, Chilled Water and Potable Water distribution, Compressed Air Generation, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Building Safety Systems and Building regulations is desirable.
Influence/Leadership:
1. May be required to support cross functional teams and cost improvement projects.
2. Continual attention to ensure plant reaches its annual production and financial plans.
Supervision:
1. Has decision responsibility within the Site Engineering Services Team.
2. Will manage and supervise external contractors.
3. Have contacts with all levels of management within company.
4. Has external contacts with outside contractors/services engineers and commissioning engineers, safety inspectors etc.
5. Has high level of contacts with Global Engineering and Global EHS.
