Key Responsibilities as Project Manager
* Positively and actively drive towards an embedded HS&E culture.
* Support the Contracts Manager with the day-to-day running of the project.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Check plans and drawings and supervise subcontractors across the project.
* Plan work efficiently ensuring strict deadlines are met.
* Oversee quality control and safety measures on sites.
* Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and deal with any problems that arise.
* Communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
* Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, keeping them informed of progress.
* Manage quality and BCAR coordination.
* Supervise direct staff and subcontractors.
* Handle technical queries and interface with clients, consultants, and architects regarding RFIs.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS Office, Project, or similar scheduling packages.
* Good knowledge of safety management and quality management.
* Ability to lead with confidence, mentor, and motivate staff.
