Job Title: Planner / Master Scheduler
Location: Abbott Ireland Nutrition Division, Cootehill, Cavan
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
* Planning Function: Ensure plant output aligns with market needs and schedules, and provide backup support for planning, purchasing, and warehouse functions.
* Inventory Control: Maintain accuracy in the inventory control system.
* MRP Management: Effectively manage Material Requirement Planning.
* Inventory Management: Ensure effective management of inventory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collaborate with Planning Center and supply chain to meet KPIs.
* Utilize systems like MCS and Infor Advanced Schedule for planning.
* Align plans with financial estimates and plant capacity.
* Support ERP activities and eliminate bottlenecks.
* Lead meetings and set weekly targets.
* Provide output projections to Finance.
* Comply with EHS laws and Abbott standards.
* Manage inventory and ensure product availability.
* Analyze MRP parameters and monitor stock.
* Schedule materials efficiently and work with internal teams.
* Promote continuous improvement and maintain policies.
* Track performance metrics and build relationships with suppliers.
* Adapt to changing responsibilities and ensure regulatory compliance.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:
* Bachelor’s Degree: Appropriate qualification in either Purchasing/ Production Planning e.g. Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) examinations.
* Or General Degree with relevant Manufacturing experience.
* Or A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is required for this role.
