Electrical Standards Lead
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Standards Lead to join our client, a government power generation organization.
The Low Voltage (LV) Planning Team is responsible for the development and implementation of LV design standards, policies, and procedures. As the LV Electrical Standards Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring that all related documents align with organizational strategies and adapt to evolving external factors.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and redefining LV electrical design standards, policies, and procedures to ensure they align with organizational strategies and account for the impact of emerging technologies.
* Leading assessments and analyses of data relevant to LV design, including assessing the adoption of low-carbon technologies in new and existing premises connected to the LV network.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support changes to LV design standards, policies, and procedures.
* Developing and managing updates to documents through the internal document management system.
* Training teams on new LV design standards and providing support to local design team members.
You will also represent the organization as an expert in LV standards and policy in international utility working groups and build relationships with external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A primary degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
* 8+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in distribution system asset management and utility company standards.
* Strong technical documentation and communication skills, as well as interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Familiarity with engineering/business systems and tools, such as SAP and GIS systems.
* Experience with using document management systems and processes.
