They are seeking a Private Equity Fund Accountant Manager (Remote in Ireland) for their growing team to oversee the closed-end fund accounting process within a structured and dynamic environment. This role involves managing the accurate, timely delivery of NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations and supporting client relationships by ensuring the highest standards of service.
You can work fully remote from home in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team and Operational Management:
o Lead the day-to-day management of the Private Equity accounting team, handling key tasks such as Capital Call and Distribution Processing, Investor Allocations, and Waterfall Maintenance.
o Oversee NAV calculations and financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
o Direct performance reporting activities, including IRR calculations, and respond to ad hoc client and investor reporting needs.
o Ensure the accounting team operates within a clearly defined control environment for consistent, high-quality output.
2. Client Relationship Development:
o Serve as a primary contact for clients, collaborating with senior management to maintain and enhance service delivery quality.
o Manage client onboarding and transition processes, and coordinate fund audits to facilitate accurate and timely completion.
3. Team Development and Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of up to 10 employees, supporting their professional development through recruitment, performance evaluations, and training.
o Foster a positive team environment, encouraging continuous learning and team collaboration to achieve shared goals.
4. Process Improvement and Innovation:
o Drive process improvements, optimizing workflows to enhance team efficiency and performance.
o Participate in training development and presentations, sharing fund accounting expertise across the team.
o Investigate the accounting implications of new products and ensure best practices are applied.
Qualifications:
1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or Business.
2. Professional Certification: ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA preferred; candidates pursuing or partially qualified will also be considered.
3. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in private equity with demonstrated team management experience.
4. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in fund accounting software; familiarity with Investran is an advantage.
