Job Title: Housekeeping and Accommodation Supervisor
Reporting to: Housekeeping Manager
Job Description: The successful candidate will provide clean and well-maintained bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, and back of house areas for all guests to agreed standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the housekeeping manager in the day-to-day management of the housekeeping department.
* Assign the team their duties and inspect work to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
* Ensure all staff have full knowledge of events, functions, or group arrivals at the hotel.
* Ensure stock levels in accommodation and housekeeping trolleys are always adhered to in relation to linen, cleaning chemicals, guest supplies, etc.
* Ensure correct staff levels in the department.
* Report any lost and found property and maintenance issues to the relevant manager.
* Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health & safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and other persons on the premises.
* Liaise with different departments to ensure any special requests are adhered to in the guest bedrooms.
* Uphold high standards of customer service and respond to guest requests accordingly.
Skills/Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping role and a minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisor role preferred.
* Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with shifts.
* Must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
* Must be able to take instruction effectively.
* Must be able to work as part of a team to achieve high standards required.
* Must adhere to Health & Safety requirements.
