Job Summary
Implements the site Continuous Improvement strategy, mentoring Lean teams driving improved performance. Develops plans, strategies, and training programmes to develop the continuous improvement culture across the site.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Propose and implement process improvements that impact positively on specific areas, such as DL efficiency.
2. Coordinate the development of VSM's, Kaizen workshops in their respective area of responsibility, as requested.
3. Keep improving assigned areas through monitoring JMA.
4. Identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity while coordinating the implementation of these improvements.
5. Maintain and promote 5’S program.
6. Maintain and promote Kaizen Blitz program.
7. Recommend and document methods to improve efficiency, reducing waste in materials and equipment.
8. Apply, educate, promote, and spread culture in the use of lean manufacturing tools.
9. Active participation in Line led improvement activities.
10. Become the first point of contact for two Workcell.
11. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Person Specification
1. Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
2. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
3. Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
5. Proven ability to meet deadlines.
6. A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
Essential Criteria
Job Qualifications Knowledge Requirements
1. BS degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or other technical discipline. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
2. 2-4 years’ experience working in manufacturing/engineering/Quality/ Lean/ Process.
3. Lean certification or 2 years of continuous improvement experience preferred.
4. Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment.
Desired Criteria
1. Experience in manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
2. Bronze lean training or similar experience.
