You will work on the manufacturing site of a global pharmaceutical company. The company has a number of locations across Ireland where it manufactures in state-of-the-art facilities. The Waterford site has seen major investments over recent years and is seen as a strategic manufacturing site. Your new role You will work with multiple departments on this large manufacturing site, acting as support from a financial perspective. It's busy, challenging and very rewarding. Building relationships will be a key factor in your success. The scope of your job will involve decision support, simplification, financial management, and governance.
1. Manage financial management activities for business units in support of delivering business strategies and maintaining strong financial governance.
2. Accountable for risk identification and management for strong financial governance.
3. Review management accounts (actual, forecasts, budgets) to assist senior embedded business finance support in signing off on Balance Sheet.
4. Engage in full Balance Sheet review with shared services teams monthly.
5. Assist in the management of corporate approvals.
6. Ensure compliance with all corporate and compliance guidelines and with IFRS.
7. Maintain strong internal control systems around company assets.
8. Fully support all control testing and external audits performed on sites.
9. Provide advice to customer groups by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks.Drive financial awareness and Financial KPI delivery with business functions.Support implementation of productivity improvement opportunities.Execute simplification projects and implementation of best practices.Partner with senior embedded business finance support, functional director and leadership teams for forecasting review and approval.
What you'll need to succeed
10. You must be a Qualified Accountant, Chartered, ACA, ACCA, CPA.
11. Ideally, 5+ years Industry experience within a multinational or large indigenous Irish company.
12. Experience working with client groups with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at various levels.
13. Understanding of underlying business drivers.
14. Proficient financial knowledge of scenario modelling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting.
15. Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrixed environment.
