Job Title: Maintenance/Facilities Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance/Facilities Manager to join our team in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
About the Role:
This is a contract position initially, requiring a strategic thinker with expertise in delivering quality-based, cost-effective services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT development programmes.
* Manage the performance and maintenance of buildings, including mechanical and electrical services.
* Participate in and manage new development projects.
* Develop annual buildings and maintenance plans, incorporating Minor/Major Capital, Energy Management, and PEMAC requests.
* E nsure contracts works are managed in line with H&S policies/procedures and construction regulations.
* Chair meetings and committees.
* Prepare reports, estimates, specifications, and drawings.
* Conduct Risk Assessments, audits, and fire safety checks.
* Prepare budgetary plans for infrastructural works, procurement, and purchasing of materials.
Requirements:
* A 3rd Level qualification or Apprenticeship in IT, Electrical/Mechanical trade, or Engineering/Surveying/Facilities/Chartered Surveyors.
* No less than 7 years experience in mechanical/electrical/engineering management of large buildings.
* Experience in managing operational budgets.
* Management of multidisciplinary trades and technical teams.
* Experience in implementing Planned Maintenance programmes.
* Knowledge of building service systems, technologies (e.g., UPS units, AHU's, water treatment systems).
* A valid Safe Pass or equivalent certification.
